Stukadoorsclub streamlines customer communication and scales effortlessly

Stukadoorsclub has been around for about three to four years and was born out of a personal frustration. Co-founder Jelle Kies once renovated his own home and ran into multiple issues: unclear communication with the plasterer, unexpected costs, and not knowing who would show up. “You feel completely left in the dark,” he says. That had to be improved. Together with his Hugo Kuijer, he founded Stukadoorsclub: a modern construction company where clarity, convenience, and reliability are the most important values.

Challenge: Growth Brought Complexity

With a core of about 20 teams and 50 to 60 plasterers on-site weekly, Stukadoorsclub grew rapidly. But internal processes couldn’t keep up with that growth.

Just a year and a half ago, the team still used Google Spreadsheets, direct WhatsApp messages, group chats, and phone calls to manage jobs and communicate with clients. Almost everything was done manually. “We were doing only 30% of the jobs we do now, but it felt way more stressful,” says Jelle.

From Manual Workflows to Smart Automation

To bring more structure and peace of mind, Stukadoorsclub added a full-time developer to the team. He built a custom CRM and app to manage incoming requests and job execution.

They also developed a complete customer journey, covering all touchpoints such as planning, execution, and aftercare. For communication during jobs, they looked to WhatsApp. A lot of communication already happened on that platform, making it easy for customers. What was missing was a way to make this scalable. The Saysimple API enabled Stukadoorsclub to do so.

WhatsApp as the Operational Engine

Through an integration between Saysimple and their custom CRM, Stukadoorsclub fully automated all communication around each job via WhatsApp using the Saysimple API. “We now send out fourteen automatedWhatsApp messages per job covering all relevant touchpoints,” Jelle explains.

These messages range from confirmations and scheduling updates to introducing the plasterer and handling payments. Each message links to the customer’s personal overview in the Stukadoorsclub app, where all job details are clearly presented.

This proactive approach results in far fewer questions and much more clarity. “We see a huge drop in questions from our customers. Everyone is informed without us having to do communicate things manually.”

The clarity benefits not only customers but also the plasterers. They have full schedules, no longer need to create quotes or conduct intake visits—everything is handled through Stukadoorsclub’s platform.

Scaling Without Extra Pressure

In the past, every new job added more pressure. Now, with Saysimple, Stukadoorsclub can grow without compromising on quality or oversight. “We once had an extremely busy week and had just started using Saysimple,” Jelle recalls. “I went to call the client and the plasterer to check on the job status, but it had already been completed successfully. Everything had been planned and guided via WhatsApp. Happy client, happy plasterer. That’s when I realized: wow, this really works.”

Result

Thanks to the Saysimple API, Stukadoorsclub has built an efficient, scalable, and customer-friendly communication structure. “We can now handle 60 to 65% more jobs while the workload has actually decreased, and everything runs more efficiently,” says Jelle. WhatsApp is now fully integrated. It's not just an external tool, but a core part of Stukadoorsclub operations. This allows Stukadoorsclub to continue growing with satisfied customers, happy plasterers, and a team that’s fully in control.
